Well packed. The drawings are actually embossed on the mat, it is not an image. The mat is quite thick, but I noticed it gets marked easily. The mat is also very long.

I bought this mat for my husband because he suffers from cold feet. He found it uncomfortable to begin with and started using it with a t-shirt on. Now he can lie on it bare and I have noticed that his feet are warmer when he remembers to use it.
